About Us

OUR MISSION

To advance the education and development of children up to and including the age of 11 years in and around Wandsworth and to advance parenting skills by:

  • Providing a Centre to achieve the objects.
  • Providing training, information and advice to voluntary groups with objects the same or similar to our own.
  • Establishing and developing contacts between voluntary groups with objects the same or similar to our own.
  • Establishing links with relevant government departments at local, national and international level.
  • Promoting and developing the education of members and users of voluntary groups with similar objects and to foster a spirit of unity, co-operation and harmony amongst them through educational and cultural functions, meetings, lectures and conferences.
  • Producing newsletters, papers, information sheets, books, periodicals and pamphlets or other documents, films or other recorded information to assist in meeting the Procuring contributions to the company by personal or written appeal, public meetings or in other ways.
  • Collecting information and making this available about issues concerning the objects of the company and to exchange this with other bodies having similar objects.
  • Procuring, writing, printing, publishing, issuing and circulating newsletters, papers, information sheets, books, periodicals and pamphlets or other documents, films, recorded tapes, or other means of recording information to help achieve the objects of the company, either free or charging.
  • Accepting gifts and raising money to achieve the objects of the company.

 

OUR HISTORY

Formerly known at Wandsworth Primary Play Association we have over 40 years experience of working with childcare settings in and around the Wandsworth area. Established in 1963 we have a wealth of local knowledge and experience of providing advice and support to childcare settings on all aspects of operating a successful and thriving business, including:

  • Policy development and implementation

 

OUR TEAM

There is a staff team of 5, who have a wealth of experience across a wide ranging areas.



Jackie Coward - Childcare Services Manager

Employed for over 25 years, responsible for all matters relating to direct childcare provision and also responsible for new developments within the Association and on behalf of individual member groups. Jackie holds an NVQ Assessor Award and an Institute of Leadership and Management Level 3.

Sue Farley - Business Services Manager

Employed for over 25 years and responsible for business issues of the Association and supporting Groups with the business aspects of operating a thriving childcare business. Sue holds an Institute of Leadership & Management Level 3 qualification.

Kim Bronock - Childcare & Business Consultant

Employed for over 20 years. Kim provides direct advice and support to childcare settings. Regular visits are undertaken to pick up on issues and ensure that developments are driven forward. Kim holds a NVQ Level 4 in Management and an ILM Level 3.

Robina Khalid - Childcare & Business Consultant

Employed for nearly 20 years, providing direct support and advice to childcare settings.  Robina has a NVQ Level 3 Diploma. Robina holds an Adult Teachers qualification and has lectured  NVQ Level 2 and 3 childcare qualifications for practitioners. Robina holds a BA Degree in Early Years and Childhood Studies. Robina is an internal verifier and assessor for NVQs.

Mark Coward - Human Resources/Payroll Manager

Employed for 1 year. Mark holds ACICM Diploma. Mark provides support to Groups on a wide range of topics. Mark is also involved with marketing for the organisation.
